ZOYA Zenith Winter 2013 Nail Polish Review

With ZOYA being difficult to find in the UK, this is my first time using a ZOYA nail polish, and I was very excited! Mosheen and Belinda are from Zenith, the winter 2013 collection from ZOYA. It may be January, but it is still winter, in fact, the weather is more frosty and cold and more likely to snow in January than it is in November or December in the UK.

ZOYA nail polishes are all 5 free, which I love; they are all free of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP and Camphor.

Mosheen nail polish by ZOYA is a holographic icy blue special effect topcoat, containing icy blue bar glitters and tiny orange particle glitters, which ZOYA describe as “an astro ice blue topper, great for layering over other hues.”

I personally find this topcoat really nice, although I was reluctant to try it. I’ve had bad experiences with nail polishes containing bar glitters in the past, mostly with the glitter lifting or hanging over the tip of my nail, nearly always resulting in me having to file it down. This, however, is amazing! It doesn’t hang over the edges, it doesn’t have any lifting, it doesn’t poke up out of topcoats, it is great, I’d even say it’s my favourite glitter topcoat.

One of my favourite things about this polish is how frosty it looks, although it is blue, in dim light it looks partially clear and aqua and in sunlight it comes to life, shining bright blue, turquoise, aqua, and hints of silver, it is subtle on the nails if you want to wear it on its own, but looks really lovely over darker colours. Mosheen by ZOYA looks particularly good layered over the top of OPI’s Incognito In Sausalito from their San Francisco collection.

Belinda nail polish by ZOYA is an amazingly shimmery purple metallic with very fine magenta and deep purple shimmers, which ZOYA describe as “a full-coverage, cosmic purple metallic.”

Being a huge fan of all things purple, I tend to be quite picky when finding purple nail polishes, as it’s difficult to find the perfect purple. This, for me, is the closest I’ve come to finding my favourite purple polish! It is full of glitter and looks amazing in the sunlight, it glitters and glistens and still looks great in low light.
