Illustrator
If you have a particular way with drawing cartoons and the like, then one potential career you might choose to pursue could be that of illustrator. With this job, you could find yourself illustrating books of all kinds, from children’s books to adult fiction and possibly nonfiction too, perhaps even textbooks for technical drawings. You will need to be fully aware of what your particular skills are and in which kind of area you are likely to get into, so that you know where to start. It is an entire skill set to itself, however, and you need to bear that in mind if you are to be able to get such a job. No matter what kind of general artistic ability you might have, you need to make sure that you get the required training before you can truly make a career out of this. Photographer
Not all artists do the same kind of thing, and another especially common thing you can do with art training is become a photographer. There are many realms which require graphic artists for many reasons, whether that is in the world of marketing or publishing or whatever else. You will want to train yourself up on the most common and popular software, and then you can expect to really be able to pursue this kind of career without too much trouble.
