  • Invest in a good customer relationship management tool. You want to centralize your data storage, and a crucial part of this involves understanding where the information is in your system. If you have a secure and specific system for customer information, you’re going to be able to be in a better position to overcome those challenges. This will help you to achieve better data security and therefore improve your overall workflow.
  • Make sure that you have a cybersecurity strategy in place. Whether you outsource this or you have an inhouse IT team, your strategy should cover customer data. This should mean a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity because it then will cover a multitude of areas. You could address how to train employees to spot phishing attempts, and you can also implement better access control measures for remote workers. Speaking to somebody outside your business is a good way for them to have a look at your business with a clear eye.
  • Get to know the data protection regulations. If you understand the specifics of applicable data protection regulations, you will be able to maintain better security and privacy. The General Data Protection Regulation is the main one most people have heard of, so familiarize yourself with it.
