Nails Inc. 75 Offer Gift Box and Manicure Review

I have been using Nails Inc. nail polishes for just over a year now, the first Nails Inc. polish I used was Hyde Park Gate, which started my fascination for Nails Inc. as a brand! Having used them for a year and having my collection grow to almost a hundred polishes, I thought that it was about time I reviewed some Nails Inc., so I chose The 75 Offer which is a box of products from Nails Inc. chosen by the user presented in a gift box. Buying The 75 Offer works out cheaper than buying each product separately as The 75 Offer is worth over £115.

The packaging for this set is great; the products came in a box the same size as a large shoebox, and fits a lot of things inside. Printed on top of the box are depictions of 12 nail polishes in more colours than the rainbow, and below each polish is a little London street sign with the name of each polish on and the area code of that street. The front flap of the box is magnetic, so that the box doesn’t just gape open when you pick it up, and you don’t have to mess about with fasteners, just close the lid of the box and the magnets will hold it reassuringly shut.

On the side of the box is the logo, along with the “nail the day” tagline, and their website URL. The elasticated ribbon bow around the box is a nice touch too, it makes it look that little bit more special, plus with it being elasticated it keeps its shape and you never have to fuss with the bow itself, and you can add it to other presents too as well as re-using the box itself, you could buy a selection of nail polishes for your best friend and give them to her in the lovely box and ribbon!

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar 45 Second Speed Dry Top Coat

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar 45 Second Speed Dry Top Coat

The Kensington Caviar top and base coat are perfect – I have already ordered my backup set! The Kensington Caviar top coat is so glossy and high-shine that you can achieve a professional look at home! One coat of this top coat on regular colour polishes gives nails the perfect glossiness, although if you are using glitter or texture effect polishes then I would recommend using two coats of Kensington Caviar Top Coat, just to protect the design. Top and base coats are £12 each, although there are some sets available, like with the Kensington Caviar top and base coat as a set for £18.

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Base Coat

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Base Coat

Everyone knows how difficult it is to remove glitter polishes, but one coat of the Kensington Caviar base coat followed by two coats of glitter polish, for example Topping Lane and one coat of Kensington Caviar top coat, soaking the polish off is perfect as the Kensington Caviar base coat protects the nail from the glitter and forms the barrier so that the glitter glides straight off your nails along with the rest of the polish! It perfectly conditions your nails; I regularly use this base coat on its own as it gives your nails a lovely natural healthy shine as well as conditioning them.

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Hand Cream

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Hand Cream

This product is perfect! The Kensington Caviar Hand Cream smells delicious, it smells pretty and floral, and makes your hands super smooth and soft after just the first use, it is a definite must-have. I have already bought a second Kensington Caviar Hand Cream for my mom, so now my mom and I have one each in our handbags! The Kensington Caviar Hand Cream is £15.

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Hand Wash

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Hand Wash

The Kensington Caviar Hand Wash has taken its proud position in our bathroom cabinet for when I paint mine and my mom’s nails, we both wash our hands with this hand wash after our nail polish has dried and it has the same scent as the Kensington Caviar Hand Cream. The pump is a little tricky, it has the instructions on the pump to twist clockwise to lock and anti-clockwise to open, on trying this, twisting left does lock it but then twisting right doesn’t open it, it took a good few anti-clockwise twists to actually open so I would recommend to keep it open and only lock it if you definitely have to. It is worth noting that keeping the pump unlocked all the time won’t make the product go bad. The bottle is black with silver vine-like motif, this is consistent across the range in one way or another; the Kensington Caviar Hand Cream, Hand Lotion and Hand Wash are all in black packaging with the silver vine-like motif. The Kensington Caviar Hand Wash is £12.

Nails Inc. Vitamin E Cuticle Oil Pen

Nails Inc. Vitamin E Cuticle Oil Pen

This cuticle oil pen is a great size, perfect for stashing away in your handbag! This is also on my list to order more of for backups and for when I run out. It smells delicious too, it smells fresh and relaxing, it is lavender-scented and is very soothing. When you get a new cuticle oil pen, you have to twist the end of it a few times until you see the oil in the brush at the other end; the oil is a purple colour. One twist of the pen is enough for both hands. You brush the oil onto each cuticle and then massage into the cuticles and nails to moisturise and promote healthy growth in the nails. The cuticle oil pen is £12 for one individual pen, or there is a duo set available where you get two cuticle oil pens for £18.

The Nails Inc. Colour Nail Polishes

The Nails Inc. Colour Nail Polishes

When I opened the box and saw these five polishes, I couldn’t wait to try them out! Each individual colour nail polish is £11 and no Nails Inc. polish has pooling issues, they are all a great consistency and all are opaque in two to three coats, although this varies between different effect polishes. All of the colours dry to the same shade as they are whilst in the bottle which is great if you’re trying to colour coordinate your outfit. They are easy to apply and the brush is the perfect shape to be able to apply each coat in just three strokes.

Nails Inc. Baker Street

Nails Inc. Baker Street

Baker Street is a bright neon electric blue. It is most known for being worn by Beyoncé when she first appeared in public after the birth of her child Blue Ivy; Beyoncé wore this Nails Inc. shade in honour of her new child. It truly is a lovely electric blue colour; it is opaque in two coats and has perfect coverage. My favourite handbag is the exact same colour as this and I will be wearing this colour a lot more with my handbag!

Nails Inc. Tate

Nails Inc. Tate

Tate is a deep blood red, it is a lovely glossy deep red, when my mom saw it the first thing she commented was that it is the only true deep blood red she has ever seen and I agree, it is such a rich shade, it looks lovely with everything.

Nails Inc. Porchester Square

Nails Inc. Porchester Square

Porchester Square is one of the Hero Shades; it is a lovely neutral nude that can be worn for any occasion. It looks perfect and natural for an everyday colour and can also look gorgeous for a special occasion like a wedding or an anniversary! It looks gorgeous with everything; it really is a true hero shade!

Nails Inc. The Thames

Nails Inc. The Thames

The Thames is another Hero Shade, which can be worn for any occasion too! This would look lovely for a party or a wedding with Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat to give it that gorgeous eye-catching twinkle as the light catches it from different angles. It is a nice dark grey, it can be worn easily as an everyday colour or made to look edgy and dark if worn with a leather jacket or some biker boots.

Nails Inc. Monument Concrete Effect

Nails Inc. Monument Concrete Effect

Monument Concrete Effect is one of five different colours from the new Concrete Effect polishes. Some special effect nail polishes, for example magnetic, are £13 each. Nails Inc. are great for creating texture nail polishes and this is one of them. The texture is very strange at first. I found that with one coat of concrete effect polish created the effect to look most textured but the coverage was a little thin, however two coats lost the texture slightly and didn’t look as stunningly textured, but did have a consistent coverage.

Appointment with Nails Inc. for a Manicure

I went to the Nails Inc. stall in The Trafford Centre Selfridges with Gemma, the manicure was done by a very friendly and knowledgeable technician called Gemma who was expecting me and I would recommend that if you were in Manchester that you go to the Trafford Centre Selfridges and ask for Gemma, her technical abilities seem unrivalled and she is actually the reason that Nails Inc. now offer nail art, as Gemma approached the management and put the suggestion forward of offering nail art to customers and the Nails Inc. retail stalls began offering nail art as a treatment after seeing the work Gemma does, she truly does have a great talent in nail art!
The treatment I had was the Nails Inc. Special Manicure, which is £28, and I had Nail Art which varies in price depending on what Nail Art it is. I had my fingernails expertly painted in one coat of Kensington Caviar Base Coat, two coats of Chinatown metallic bubble gum pink polish, and one coat of Kensington Caviar 45 Second Speed Dry Top Coat, my nails looked absolutely stunning under both natural and artificial lighting.
The Nail Art I chose to have done was white 3D acrylic bows on my ring fingers and thumbs. Watching Gemma create these acrylic bows on my nails was fascinating, she spent an hour creating these bows and finished them with a Swarovski Element as the centre of each bow, watching her create them and you could just see how much love, care and attention to detail she was putting into making them look perfect.

Nails Inc. Special Manicure With Nail Art Bows Featuring Swarovski Elements

I love how the Swarovski Elements added that bit of extra shimmer. If you want the Swarovski Element effect with your Nails Inc. manicure then they offer a collection called Bling It On within which are two different types with Swarovski Elements in it, called Bling It On Rebel (Black/Tan/Red leather effect with metal skulls and Swarovski Elements) and Bling It On Romance (Porchester Square and Electric Avenue with metal bows and Swarovski Elements) at £25 per kit.
The Red leather effect polish was only recently released, along with a Kensington Caviar Plumping Top Coat and Kensington Caviar Flawless Base Coat. Throughout 2013 various things are going to be released by Nails Inc., including the new Denim Effect nail polish, and Bling It On Neon, I’m looking forward to seeing how these look on my nails and writing some more about their range!

All in all, I think that Nails Inc. is a great brand, they certainly do nail polish extremely well, their treatments are great and even the hand creams, washes and lotions they have developed themselves are great. Nails Inc. offer everything you need to create perfect nails, they sell nail files and acetone-free nail polish remover, treatments to keep your nails, hands and feet in top condition, vitamin E cuticle oil to promote healthy growth in your nails, and of course their range of dramatic effects and stunning colours, if you’re looking for a mani-pedi brand then you can’t really go wrong with any Nails Inc. as a company, you can view their website here.

They are very good quality, all polishes are available to order from the Nails Inc site or they sell a few products from Nails Inc in Sephora.

Was the manicure included in the £75 box?

The manicure was not included in the £75 box but can be booked online.
Unfortunately, Nails Inc. no longer do the £28 Special Manicure, but they now do an £18 15 minute Express Manicure, you can add cuticle therapy on top of that for £12. They also do a Luxury Manicure for £55 which includes quite a few nice tretaments.
None of the manicures are included in any sets but some Chrismas themed sets include vouchers for money off a manicure.
All of the treatments and services are available to view on the Nails Inc. website, some can be booked online or you can call up the store local to you and make an appointment over the phone.
I hope I could help!
