Recreate Eva Green’s Look in Casino Royale

in Fashion

With the release of this year’s new Bond film, Spectre, you might find yourself looking back at all the previous Bond girls in awe. They’re glamorous, refined and they always have the perfect ensemble for the occasion. One bond girl that stands out is Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. She’s the perfect inspiration for the upcoming party season. Here’s how to recreate her look in the film.

Step 1: Get to know Vesper

Played by the beautiful brunette, Eva Green, Vesper Lynd is more than just a pretty face. She’s the muse behind Bond’s Vesper Martini, which is served “shaken, not stirred”. Long, sweeping gowns, statement jewellery and sultry eyes are Vesper’s secret weapons of seduction. She wears them in the famous high stakes poker game she accompanies Bond to at the Casino Royale in Montenegro.

Step 2: Get into character

If you’re going to a Casino Royale themed party, or if you want to visit a real casino, you can brush up on your knowledge of casino games beforehand. You’ll soon have the sharp skills of a double agent like Vesper Lynd. To get truly into the casino mindset, you can practice with an online casino site like Vegas Casino. Try your hand at everything from video poker to Roulette and Blackjack. Then, you’re ready to hit the tables dressed in your finest Bond girl ensemble. Step 3: Get the look

Now it’s time for the real work: getting Vesper’s sultry look.

Foundation: With dark dramatic make up it’s easy to look vampy, so avoid this with a base that’s flawless but not too pale. The make-up artist who worked on Eva Green on the set of Casino Royale used a foundation called MV Creme Face Makeup in #002, along with Mac Blot Powder (in Medium) and Mac Powder.

Blush, in a shade called Frankly Scarlet.

Eyes: The eyes need to smoulder, but in a very elegant and soft way. So, avoid using harsh lines and blend very carefully. Use a smoky grey colour like Mac eye shadow in Knight Devine, which is the colour that was used on Vesper in the film. Blend the shadow just over the socket line and, instead of taking the colour up towards the eyebrows, blend it outwards like a cat’s eye. Next, smudge a small amount of the shadow under the lash line and blend thoroughly. Then, take a pencil liner and apply sparingly to the upper lash line and waterline. Finally, finish the eyes with a double coat of mascara.

Lips: Vesper has two looks in the film: one is the dusky pink, the other is a dramatic red lip. If you want to go really glam, opt for the red lip. Line the lips first and then apply MAC lipstick in Russian Red.

Now all you need to do is pick out a suitably glamorous dress and you’re good to go! Have a great night.
