Vacation Essentials You Didn’t Know You Needed

in Travel

There are things you will never forget to take with you when it comes to travel and vacations, credit cards, ID, bathing suits. All must-haves to make your vacation run smoothly. Some other items might not seem apparent additions to the packing list but ones you’ll be glad you bought along. Here are some of the vacation essentials that might not spring to mind but that you won’t want to forget.

Portable speakers

Picture it now, you’re sat around your private pool, cocktail in hand, rays caressing your body, and you can hear the family next door jumping and screaming, splashing into the pool. Not quite the vibe you were after. Drown it out by turning on your portable speakers, connecting your smartphone, and indulging in your favorite tunes. Or maybe you are that excitable family with young children who have energy to burn, get the speakers out, put on a mini disco, or play musical statues. It’s easy entertainment that will tire them out. Get the best portable speakers your money can buy and pack them in your suitcase, you won’t regret it.

Conversely, another essential you won’t want to forget is headphones. There will be times when you want to catch up on your favorite podcast or listen to your favorite beat, but nobody else does so the portable speakers won’t suffice. This is where the headphones come in. Headphones are perfect for public transport, busy spaces, or when you just need a bit of quiet time to yourself.

Insulated water bottle

These revolutionary eco-friendly bottles are all the rage. Available in a range of colors, designs, patterns, shapes, and sizes, these bottles are everywhere, and rightly so. They reduce the need for reusable plastic, encouraging you to refill instead of purchase. By taking your own water bottle around with you, you are not only doing your bit for the environment but will save yourself money too. These insulated bottles are perfect for any weather. If you’re vacationing in the sun, they’ll keep your drink cold for up to 24 hours. If you prefer a snow holiday, they can keep your drink or soup hot for up to 12 hours.

Multi USB plug adaptor

Absolutely everything needs charging. Your phone, watch, tablet, headphones, portable speakers, to name but a few. Packing your charger is an essential item you won’t forget. What you don’t want to have to do is pack all the different chargers for all the smart tech you own. Instead, you can purchase a multi USB plug adaptor that essentially allows you to plug in four (or more) USB cables into one wall charger; ergo, you can charge all your devices simultaneously without all the plugs. It is a convenient space and weight saver, not to mention handy when you are short on wall plugs.

All the sanitizer

Whether in a global pandemic or not, sanitizer is an essential item. Hand sanitizers are great when on the go, especially if you’re eating and there are no washing facilities. They are handy when traveling with children who have been frequenting playparks or touching everything they see. Sanitizing wipes should also make the vacation packing list. They’re great for giving your airplane tray table the once-over or makeshift picnic spot a quick clean. If you’re really unfortunate, they may even come in handy if your accommodation isn’t quite up to your usual standard.
