Wheatus have a new music video, and AD Lane of Indywood Films has posted it on YouTube for your viewing delight to get you all even more psyched for the UK tour that Wheatus is about to embark upon over the coming weeks.

The video itself is comprised of some of the footage from the 2010 Wheatus tour of the UK and Austria which is part of a soon to be released feature length documentary about them entitled ‘Wheatus, You Might Die’. AD Lane of Indywood Films (The gentleman behind the fan funded horror film entitled ‘Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead’) personally filmed this footage last year whilst on tour with Wheatus who are also providing a soundtrack to the movie.

Wheatus Brendan B. Brown USB People Thumbdrive

In addition to the music video, Brendan also previewed some of the merchandise from the upcoming tour via Twitter; This is a sign of the times, people! Digital audio in a more modern physical format which is highly collectible, and very cute. After Apple recently removed the optical drive from their Mac Mini, it is now becoming apparent that the death of optical media is upon us; Wheatus realise this and are offering a really great piece of future-proofed merchandise with this USB flash drive full of goodies. As was confirmed personally to us by Brendan; The flash drive has no horrible DRM. Score! This means you will be able to play the content on everything from your iPhone to your Zune other high quality media player.

It’s only some of the shows; The Manchester gig is 16+ and the Liverpool one is 14+ as I recall, but don’t take my word for it. It differs from venue to venue. Very fortunate that I’m an adult and don’t even have to think about that sort of thing.

I was intending to go with them to help with the tour, but unfortunately I’ve had a few issues come up at my end. Oh well; Always another tour, and seeing them again is going to be fantastic.
